Lou Priolo

A graduate of Calvary Bible College and Liberty University, Lou is the author of several books, including “The Heart of Anger”, “The Complete Husband”, “Teach Them Diligently”, “Getting a Grip”, and “Pleasing People”. A noted lecturer, and full time biblical counselor for 23 years, he currently serves as the Director of Biblical Counseling at Eastwood Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama where he is also an elder. He is an instructor at Birmingham Theological Seminary in Birmingham Alabama. He also has an extensive CD ministry oriented toward helping Christians apply the Bible to specific problems in living. Lou is a Fellow in the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors, and a section editor for the Journal of Modern Ministry. Lou Priolo and his wife Kim are the parents of two girls, Sophia and Gabriella. The Priolos reside in Wetumpka, Alabama.


Elyse Fitzpatrick

Elyse Fitzpatrick has been counseling women since 1989 and is presently a
part-time counselor (along with her husband, Phil) at Grace Church in San
Diego. Grace Church is part of the Sovereign Grace Ministries family of
churches. She holds a certificate in biblical counseling from IBCD and an
M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary, and is a
member of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. Elyse is the
author of eleven books including: “Women Helping Women”; “Love to Eat, Hate
to Eat,” “Overcoming Fear, Worry and Anxiety,” “When Good Kids Make Bad
Choices” (each from Harvest House Publishers); “Idols of the Heart,” “The
Afternoon of Life,” and “A Steadfast Heart” from P & R Publishers; “Helper
By Design” and “Will Medicine Stop the Pain?” from Moody Publishers; and
“Uncommon Vessels” (Leader’s Guide and Member’s Manual) from Timeless Texts.
A frequent speaker at women’s conferences, she has been married for over
thirty years and has three adult children and six really adorable
grandchildren.


Dr. David Edgington

Executive Director of Compassionate Counselors, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ a ministry devoted to nouthetic counseling for any problem of living and training of church leaders and church members in biblical counseling. Adjunct Professor in Biblical Counseling at Trinity Theological Seminary. 15 Years of Senior Pastor experience and currently Interim Pastor of Northwest Baptist Church in Phoenix.


Brenda Payne

Brenda Payne is a NANC certified counselor who received her training under the direction of NANC Fellow Lou Priolo. Since 2004, Brenda has worked with Priolo as a counselor to women and children at Eastwood Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama. She co-authored with Priolo a workbook for his parenting book Teach Them Diligently. Brenda has published her own children’s book and hopes to have a series of books which apply biblical counseling (nouthetic) principles to young children and their parents. Brenda is a graduate of Troy University and holds bachelor degrees in Journalism and German. She is active in discipleship and leading women’s Bible studies. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and speaking. Brenda and her husband Paul have been married 17 years and have three children- Kadie Allen 15, Rome 13, and John Clark 10.


Wayne Nieman, Master of Divinity

Wayne was a Junior High School Teacher for many years (retired) and is currently a counselor at Grace Covenant Counseling Center. Wayne Nieman is a graduate of A.S.U. with a B.A. in Education. He has taught school for 27 years — 5 years in Christian Education and 22 years in the Public Schools. Wayne received his M. Div. from Reformed Episcopal Seminary. He has been an Elder at Cornerstone Bible Church. In 1999, he received his PhD in Marriage and Family Counseling from Evangelical Theological Seminary (Now called Biblical Life College and Seminary). Wayne has been counseling for 12 years as a Level II NANC Certified Nouthetic Counselor.


Steve Davis


Steve is a NANC certified counselor and is currently the Pastor of Biblical Counseling at East Valley Bible Church. He received his science degree from the University of Vermont, and received both his theological and counseling training at the Eastwood Center for Biblical Counseling in Montgomery, Alabama, where he mentored under NANC Fellow and Rev. Lou Priolo. Steve has been involved in nouthetic counseling for 12 years and oversees the Counseling/Discipleship ministries at EVBC and the training and development of lay and Pastoral counselors in the practice of nouthetic counseling. Steve and his wife Ingrid have four children and seven grandchildren.
